Recently, we were fortunate enough to play a show opening for The Protomen. Everyone who came out was amazingly supportive and we had the best time – even if it was meant to be the last day on Earth. Photographer Bryan Huff captured the evening and is kind enough to share the results – enjoy them!

It was a great way to end 2012 and we’re looking forward to a ton of great things coming up in 2013.

Nahnee Bori, longtime Uncle Skeleton collaborator and BFF Cody Uhler, has a new release on the horizon called Place. The first preview from this album is a track called “Iditarod” that you can listen to here along with a remix from Uncle Skeleton.

We were fortunate enough to play the launch party for Native magazine’s second issue. We were even more fortunate enough to have part of the performance captured by Bucket City Mobile. Go check out Goose’s Night Out to see us play our final performance as a Nashville-based endeavor. There will still be plenty of music coming from the world of Uncle Skeleton, it will just be emerging from NYC from now on.

Congratulations to Chad McClarnon for being accepted into the Film Fringe Festival Tour. This means that his short film, and the Uncle Skeleton penned soundtrack, for A New Life will be touring through Los Angeles, Philadelphia and Edinburgh. If you live anywhere near there, go check it out!

The good people at Emma (the Nashville-based email marketing solution) asked Uncle Skeleton to provide the score for a series of videos showcasing their relaunched website. You can hear the results all over their new site.

Each side of the double record is inspired by a different avenue of musical interest. Side A covers danceable electronic tracks, Side B is inspired by pop and bossa nova, Side C by lo-fi experimentation and Side D brings forth the ambient sounds.
